PROGRAMA

Trainer

Filipa Rodrigues is a Portuguese translator with over 15 years of experience, in Portugal and abroad. She lived in Mexico, but she is currently based in Timor-Leste for the past five years. She is also a teacher and Coordinator of the Language and Translation Center at UCT, Dili. She holds a Master’s in Translation from the University of Lisbon, she is fluent in english, french and spanish. Her passion is working towards empowering language professionals through hands-on training.

She has worked as freelance and in-house translator with several government agencies, nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, and private sector agencies, spread across the world.
She is specialized in CAT tools, recently also AI-integrated technology. Lately, she decided to open the center to share her knowledge and experience with the latest translation and interpretation technology. At the same time, she also works with the traditional techniques and equipments, that are widely used in Timor-Leste.
